Police identify 2 shooting victims in west central Springfield home

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Police released the names of two found dead Wednesday in west central Springfield.

Police identified as Torie E. Parrow, 32, of Springfield, and Melvin L. Parrow, 36, of Springfield as the victims. Both died of gunshot wounds. Investigators do not believe there is a suspect at large and feel there is no danger to the community.

Police responded to the home on Elm Street at 4:33 p.m. Crime Scene Investigators arrived hours after police with a search warrant. Detectives worked in the dark and in the rain to collect evidence.

A man called our newsroom to say his daughter was one of people found dead. He explained she was shot while getting her child ready to go trick or treating.
