Point Lookout, Mo The College of the Ozarks and Branson community are anxious in anticipation for the decision by the NAIA on whether or not to renew their contract with C of O to host the Division 2 men's national basketball tournament.
College of the Ozarks has hosted the tournament for the past 17 years.
Every few years, the NAIA will meet with C of O to renew their contract.
This time, however, it is a bit different.
College of the Ozarks President Jerry Davis has put in place a No Pledge, No Play policy which means if any team playing C of O sits or kneels during the national anthem, C of O will not play them.
So the NAIA is working with the college to put something in place to keep the tournament in Branson.
A spokeswoman for the NAIA says that the meetings with College of the Ozarks have gone well, and they hope to have a decision by next week.
