2 Missouri State basketball players named in police report

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Two Missouri State University basketball players are listed in a police investigation involving a robbery.

The incident happened December 22 at an apartment complex on South Kimbrough.

The police report claims Bears basketball players Tanveer Bhullar and Darian Scott were at the apartment for a party. The victim claims Bhullar used the bathroom in a back bedroom. She then reported to police a few hours later $1,500 had been stolen out of a wallet hidden in a night stand.

The victim provided to police the names of Bhullar and Scott. In the report, the officers say the victim claimed Bhullar was acting suspicious. Police attempted to contact the two, but could not reach them. Then, the victim told police Bhullar returned all of the property and she did not want to press charges.

Missouri State University suspended the players for the last game at home against Loyola. Head Coach Paul Lusk said the two had been suspended for violating team rules. Lusk was unsure of a timetable for their return to the team. The Bears return to action Sunday against Valparaiso.
