Searchers recover 2nd body along Crooked Creek near Harrison, Ark.; Sheriff says likely Amy Villines

HARRISON, Ark. -- The Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating a second body found along Crooked Creek east of Harrison, Ark.

Sheriff Mike Moore says it is possible the body is Amy Villines. An autopsy is planned for Monday. Investigators confirmed a body found last week nearby was her husband John.

John and Amy Villines lost control of an SUV in flash flooding on November 30. The couple are known business leaders in the community. Searchers quickly found the couple's SUV lodged against a bridge. But only found few other clues in the search for the couple. The city later drained Harrison Lake in the search.

Investigators found the latest body along the bank of Crooked Creek about three miles away from John Villines body near Lost Spur Ranch. The body was recovered from a pile of debris too. Investigators say they have asked the Arkansas State Crime Lab to conduct an autopsy to identify the body and a cause of death.
