STORM MODE: National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory for accumulating snow

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the Ozarks for our next winter storm.

The advisory lasts until 6 p.m. Sunday. The counties inlcude Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Henry, Hickory, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Morgan, Polk, St. Clair, Vernon, Webster and Wright Counties.

Expect light to moderate snow this evening in the Ozarks. Two to four inches of snow is possible. Locally higher amounts are possible.

Travelers should plan on slippery road conditions. Brisk north to northwest winds will also cause some blowing snow. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
