SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is reporting another jump in flu cases.
County health leaders reported cases rose to 1,383 for this flu season, up from the 841 confirmed casts counted last week. Doctors reported more than 540 cases last week alone.
The Missouri Department of Health had reported more than 13,000 cases statewide this flu season. Arkansas' Department of Health reports 7,000 cases.
Fight the flu with these few simple suggestions:
-Cough/ sneeze in your elbow
-Wash hands for at least 20 seconds (sing "Happy Birthday" twice)
-Sanitize your home with bleach
-Wash all bedding
-Throw used tissues in trash cans immediately
