Rolla police arrest church burglary suspect

A man is under arrest after police say he burglarized the Greentree Christian Church in Rolla Saturday morning.

The Rolla Police Department responded to the church around 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning and found that a large glass window had been shot out of the building's front door.

Surveillance video led to the identity of the suspect, Taylor Bell, 26, of Rolla. Police located Bell at his home in the 700 block of Wakefield drive.

Bell was arrested after a two-hour stand-off. He is charged with first degree burglary and armed criminal action, and is currently being held at the Phelps county jail.
