Police catch 9-foot python at a high school

ABC -- Students at one Florida school are recovering from quite the scare, after a 9-foot long Burmese Python was found at their school.
Officers captured the creature in a field Wednesday morning. No one was hurt and while it may be creepy the educators there say it's a good learning experience.
"They were actually able to see it here. Not just book-wise or even video-wise. They were actually able to see it in real life, an example of invasive species coming into our territory,” said Homestead High School teacher Joe Gonzalez.
The python will eventually be transferred to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Department.
