New superintendent named to the West Plains School District

WEST PLAINS, Mo- The new superintendent for West Plains is the assistant superintendent for the Aurora School District.

Doctor Lori Wilson will takeover the job in West Plains on July First. Wilson also served for five years as principal at Nixa Junior High school and three years as Assistant High School Principal in Ozark.

“The Board of Education listened to teachers and patrons as we carefully evaluated candidates in light of district goals and priorities,” said Board President Jim Thompson. “Dr. Wilson sets a high standard of ethics and brings a diverse educational and business finance background to our district. She has an outstanding reputation of building student success, fostering staff harmony, leading through example and setting student centered priorities,” Thompson added.

Wilson will replace John Mulford. He will become the superintendent for the Meramec Valley School District this summer.
