JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (News Release) -- Missouri Lottery players who buy their tickets in Jackson County should check those tickets very carefully.

The $50 million Mega Millions ticket from the March 12 drawing was sold at QuikTrip, 6641 E. Truman Road, in Kansas City. The lucky ticket matched all six numbers drawn: 10, 12, 16, 49, 57 and a Mega Ball of 18.

The winner has yet to claim their prize at lottery headquarters in Jefferson City. Draw Games winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Sept. 8.
If the jackpot prize is claimed within 60 days, the ticket holder may choose between two claiming options: receiving the prize in one lump-sum payment, which is approximately half of the advertised jackpot; or receiving the full amount in 30 graduated annuity payments. If the player has not chosen within 60 days, payment automatically defaults to the annuity option.
