Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring an elderly, blind lost Jack Russell mix

In our Leigh's Lost and Found today our featured lost dog is a senior lady.

Animal control says she's at least 10 years old and is feeling the effects of her old age.

"She is mostly blind though she can see some shadows, still able to get around somewhat. She was found out around Rutledge Wilson Farm. Someone picked her up out there when they found her wandering around. They took her to a vet hospital, couldn't find a chip, she didn't have a collar, so we picked her up from there."

Shelter coordinator Josh Doss says the female dog is some kind of Jack Russell mix. Her nails are very long which could mean she's been wandering for awhile.

Despite her age and visual problems, he says she's in pretty good shape with a good weight and a nice coat. She's also socialized and gets along well with the other dogs at the shelter.
