Last week in my Leigh's Lost and Found report, we showcased a number of animals that have been missing for a long time.
One dog that we kept reposting on my page had been gone for three months, and last month, we talked to Goliath's devastated owner, Beth Goodell.
"Please bring my dog back. I'm offering a $250 reward, no questions asked."
The Beth we talked to this week is a much different person, since her perseverance paid off and Goliath is now home.
"I probably called and looked at 50 dogs easily, before I found him. This family had found him. The picture didn't look like him but I just had a feeling."
Beth was right, confirmed, she says, by a slight smudge in Goliath's left eye. She thinks before this family found him, someone had him and was trying to keep him.
"I think he slipped out their door the first chance he got."
He's been shaved down and someone even dyed part of his hair to disguise the white on his chest. But Beth knows it's her Goliath.
"For the first 24 hours or so, we just slept, snuggled and cried.
I couldn't find a better way to start my new year. This is a wonderful service that really helps people find their animals."
Just like Beth did, you can post a lost or found animal on the Leigh's Lost and Found facebook page. Just be sure to like the page and share it with your friends.
