SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield police were led on a high speed chase through at least two counties overnight Sunday.
Officers were first called to check on a person who was passed out in a car at the Walgreens at Battlefield and Campbell. When they walked up to the car, they say the driver sped away, bumping two patrol cars in the process.
The 100 mph chase went through northern Greene County, and after police stopped pursing the car, it was later pulled over by Polk County deputies at U.S. 13 and State Highway 215 in Polk county.
The driver and a passenger were arrested. Officers believe they were impaired. No one was injured.
