Highway Patrol identifies driver hurt in crash between train and pickup in southern Webster County

SEYMOUR, Mo. -- The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a pickup and a train in Webster County.

The crash happened around 3:50 p.m. along Oak Lawn Road, just off of U.S. 60 near Seymour.

The BNSF train smashed into the pickup that was crossing the tracks. Investigators say the driver, Rolland Fisher, 54, of Seymour, only suffered moderate injuries. Emergency crews transported him to a Springfield hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crossing had a crossbuck and a yield sign, but no crossing arms.
