Deputies say driver in possible stolen vehicle caused crash in northwest Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Greene County deputies say the driver of a possible stolen vehicle is at fault for a crash in northwest Springfield.

Troopers responded to the crash around 1 p.m. at Chestnut and Orchard Crest.

Greene County deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of a possible stolen vehicle. Deputies say the driver then sped across Chestnut Expressway on Orchard Crest, striking another vehicle. Deputies were not in pursuit of the vehicle.

The suspect suffered minor injuries. He is booked into the Greene County Jail.
