SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Service’s team is responding to Tropical Storm Barry.
Relief teams prepositioned several truckloads of disaster relief supplies at their Mississippi Delta Program Center in Delhi, La. to help address the immediate needs of the communities in the path of the storm.
The National Weather Service reports severe amounts of rain, which is expected to lead to dangerous, life-threatening flooding that could last for several days, if not over a week in some areas.
“With staff and supplies in close proximity, Convoy’s Disaster Services team can respond quickly when needed,” said Jeff Nene, Convoy of Hope’s national spokesperson.
