City of Republic, Mo. reports record home sales in 2018

REPUBLIC, Mo. -- The community of Republic, Mo. is celebrating a record year of home sales growth.

The city reported a 28.5 percent increase in sales over the previous year. Percentage-wise, that's more growth than the communities of Ozark and Nixa. Last year, 471 homes sold. The city also reports a huge increase in new construction, providing more homes to sell.

Sue Carter has been a realtor in Republic for 15 years and says there has been steady growth since she first started selling homes here. And she thinks the Republic Community as a whole is one of the reasons people are choosing to move here.

"We have such a partnership, such a great partnership between our city leaders, the business community, our school district," said Carter. "There's just a lot of communication, camaraderie and contribution between really all facets of the community. And I think that just build a stronger community for all of us to live in, so it's exciting."

And the growth isn't only residential. city leaders are excited they have many new businesses and industries coming to the city of Republic as well.
