NEW BUSINESSES: City of Ozark celebrates growth with new businesses

OZARK, Mo. -- The city of Ozark is excited to see new businesses coming to town.

Current businesses in Ozark are thriving with expansion of its McDonald's and gas stations throughout town

The city administrator for Ozark says there's a lot of service industry and new businesses giving new life to places like the old Walmart which will now be a family center farm and home store and the old Shoneys will now be an Ozark Mountain Family Restaurant. There’s also talks of a possible Zaxby’s being built and a new Kum and Go is already under construction.

The city is seeing a boost in midsize businesses coming to Ozark.

"We've got three new Kum and Go's that are going to be open within the last couple of years, our second McDonalds which is the same owner as the McDonald's that we have now and the re-use of the old Walmart location is going to be a new farm and home supply store, and I think our midsize businesses are really picking up," said Ozark City Administrator Steve Childers.

The city says because of businesses this size it provides them with a stable and sustainable business model for the city to depend on.
