City of Mountain Home, Ark. elects new mayor; Diamond City, Ark. elects councilwoman

Voters in both Baxter and Boone Counties in Arkansas made decisions at the polls in special elections Tuesday.

Voters in Mountain Home, Ark. elected a new mayor. Hillrey Adams defeated Nancy Osmon 1,095 to 659 votes. The two survived a runoff from November's election. Adams will succeed current Mayor Joe Dillard.

Voters in Diamond City, Ark. elected a new council member. Cheryle Guthrie defeated Kenneth Bollinger 78-36 votes. The election was also a runoff from the November election.
