Caught on Camera: Burglar hits east Springfield businesses

By  |

A Springfield massage therapist had some cleaning up to do after a burglar broke into her business early Tuesday morning.

J. Renae Grimes-Avery says she was greeted by broken glass and police tape when she got to work on Tuesday. The owner of 417 Bliss Massage Therapy Studio in east Springfield found the glass door to her business shattered, and two Kindle tablets missing.

The burglar left something behind, however. His image is all over the footage from Grimes-Avery's security cameras. That footage shows a man wearing a mask working his way through the massage studio looking for valuables.

Springfield Police say the man also broke into a hair salon and a real estate training business that share commercial space with 417 Bliss Massage Therapy Studio.

If you recognize the man in these images or have any information about these burglaries, you're asked to call the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810.
