SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A church congregation surprised a Springfield man whose bike was stolen last week.
Hamlin Baptist Church took up a collection and bought Andy Howell a brand new, customized ride. Thieves stole the three-wheeled original bike after a gate at the home was left open.
Andy's family says he cannot balance properly. He suffers from right hemiplegic. He is also blind in one eye, One step at at time, Howell has had to walk everywhere he wanted to go after thieves swiped his freedom to get around.
The family asks the public to keep watch for the first specialized bike.
