Meet MMJ Nikki Ogle.
Nikki joined the KY3/KSPR news team as a multimedia journalist in June 2019, but she is not entirely new to the KYTV family. Nikki spent a summer as the On Your Side intern, helping find and research stories that affect your wallet. That's when she realized KY3 really is "The Place To Be!"
Nikki was born and raised right here in the Ozarks. She spent two years at Ozarks Technical Community College before pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of Missouri. In Columbia, she worked for the university-owned NBC affiliate, KOMU, as a reporter and anchor.
Nikki is from Ash Grove. She has covered stories from small towns like her own to the state capitol, on topics like prison understaffing, murder cases, medical marijuana and the opioid epidemic.
When she's not chasing her next story, Nikki spends as much time in the Ozarks' fresh air as possible. She's also a dog mom. She and her dog Cooper could spend hours exploring her family's farm in Greene County.
Nikki loves sports movies. Her favorites are Secretariat, Remember the Titans, Rudy and Hoosiers. The movies are not quite as exciting as live games, though. In the fall, you could probably catch her at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, cheering on her Chiefs.
Nikki is grateful to be home- in the Ozarks and at KY3. She has watched and relied on KY3 News for her entire life, and feels blessed to now be a part of its newsroom.
She loves helping people tell their stories and is excited to get the chance to do it in southwest Missouri.
