Gasconade flooding near Richland

These photos were taken of the Gasconade River at about 7pm. Within a few hours, the river was well over the bridge, making it impassable. This is some of the worst flooding seen in the area. Where most of the river is now covering is a lush beautiful valley with lots of grazing land for horses and cattle. Several homes in the vicinity were affected and one near the river was almost covered entirely. According to local reports, the river had not fully crested when this photo was taken. At 10pm, this writer tried to cross back over and was unable too. The water had gone over the bridge and had run down the highway several feet from the bridge
