W. B. Baker’s Latest Novel, The Ravenous, Receives Worldwide Acclaim
Random House Ventures and Xlibris Publishing have announced the release of The Ravenous; the latest novel from international award winning author, Dr. William Baker. Publications of the former Springfield resident and graduate of College of the Ozarks have been praised throughout Europe, the United States, and Japan.
Long recognized for his treatment of mythology and British historical fiction, specifically in the fields of Celtic Mythology and Theology, W. B. Baker has been honored by Her Majesty’s Government and that of the United States of America for his contributions to contemporary literature.
The Story:
Centuries of warfare had barely encroached upon Glamorgan’s boundaries and any who dared its conquest met with bold resistance. Warriors lurking in the mountains of Wales invited all unwary trespassers to come and taste of death. Such was the case in 1316, when Edward II attempted to resurrect a United Kingdom after the execution of William Wallace.
As Edward and his Nobles would all too soon discover, the rage that English garrisons uncovered across the valleys of Wales would prove to rival any fury of the Scots.
W. B. Baker’s novels are available at Barnes & Noble Bookstores, Walden Books, on the internet at Amazon.com, Xlibris.com, and at fine bookstores throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan.
A Magnificent Re-emergence of English Literature For the 21st Century
W. B. Baker has done more through his writing to promote Wales around the world than anyone in recent memory. Stunning imagery and the ability to convey the warmth of Welsh culture combine with historical accuracy to bring Wales its finest champion since Dylan Thomas.
