Did you know it’s been 10 years since the Discovery Center of Springfield opened its doors? The 60,000 square foot interactive, hands-on children’s museum is ready to celebrate with a 10th anniversary party this Sunday. Displays will include photos past and present detailing the center’s growth; the number 10 will be utilized in math and science games and exhibits. The actual party begins at 1 pm; members are encouraged to come at noon for a private event.
Also this weekend…The Springfield Playhouse's clever and entertaining version of Rapunzel, based on the classic fairy tale, hits the stage this weekend at The Skinny Improv Comedy Theatre. The Springfield Playhouse encourages children to participate in the play and even help decorate the set 30 minutes before the show. This hysterical adaptation by Jessica Landis will be presented this Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are only $5.
You can head to Big Cedar Lodge this weekend for a Celebration of Tastes.
