Notre Dame was handed major violations and fines after a Department of Labor report found they knowingly put a student in danger after Declan Sullivan fell from a scissor lift and died. IOSHA announced Notre Dame did not establish and maintain conditions of work that were reasonably safe for its employees. The university was fined and later implemented a nationwide education program to warn about the hazards of scissor lifts. |
