Jamie loves to sing and enjoys participating in the church choir. Computers are another interest of hers, as well as reading.  She adores animals and hopes to have her own pet someday. She is very friendly and isn't shy when it comes to meeting new people.

In the sixth grade, Jamie is getting good grades; she has an extensive vocabulary and exceptional speech and grammar skills. She likes school, and enjoys being involved in the classroom activities. She benefits from an IEP (Individualized Education Plan), occupational therapy and counseling, which will need to continue after placement.

The caseworker prefers a two-parent or single-female placement where Jamie can be the oldest child; however, all family types will be considered. The best family for this youngster would be one who is very affectionate and who provides consistent structure with appropriate discipline. She needs a family who is patient and firm yet understanding, who will build her self-esteem and support her interests. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.

This is a LEGAL RISK ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT. In a legal risk placement, it is expected that the family will eventually adopt the child, even though the birth parents' rights have not been fully terminated at the time of placement.
