This little girl with the great big personality is Kalista! A good sense of humor and a contagious laugh are just two of the characteristics that make her so much fun to be around. She is a ball of energy that just keeps going. This child loves to color, draw, play outside, go to the park, and shop. (After shopping she likes to model her new outfits!) Kalista keeps it basic with her favorite foods: macaroni and cheese, and french fries. The best movie she's ever seen is "Bridge to Terabithia.." She says that it's her favorite movie because it makes her cry every time.
School is fun for this kiddo and academics are important. As a third grader, her fondest subjects are art and music. She really enjoys singing and thinks the best song to sing is "Our God is an Awesome God". She is attending counseling, which will need to continue after placement.
Kalista has an impressive resilience about her. She states, "I've been through the world a lot of times. My heart is crinkled." Her dream come true would be to have "a family that cares for me." The caseworker prefers a two-parent or single-female family; however, all family types will be considered.
