Lennie is in need of a patient, loving and committed family.  She enjoys reading and writing as well as watching movies and playing with dolls. Although she likes all animals, dogs are her favorite.  She loves to do a variety of art projects and has put together a portfolio to share her work with others.

Being active in church and at school also makes her happy. Lennie is going into 7th grade when school starts, so, it's probably no surprise that this budding artist's favorite subject in school is art. Lennie has worked hard and is now maintaining good grades.  She is a bright teen who gets her school work done.

She currently participates in counseling, which will need to continue after placement.  Lennie's caseworker feels that she will thrive in a structured two-parent or single-mother home; however, all family types will be considered.  She would like to be in a home with other children, but being the only child would also work.  She needs a supportive family who would be willing to facilitate visits with her biological family, if requested, would be preferable.  Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.

This is a LEGAL RISK ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT.  In a legal risk placement, it is expected that the family will eventually adopt the child, even though the birth parents' rights have not been fully terminated at the time of placement.
