Hello everyone. Just a quick update for you right now. It is looking more and more like today is going to be our day to catch a tornado. The SPC has hiked up the tornado risk to 10% and that just happens to be right in the area we are in.

This morning I woke up around 8:30am, had some breakfast and then shot a bunch of video of the armada of vehicles with the Vortex2 project. Believe me, there are tons! I would guess some 40 different ones from radars, to mobile mesonets, and various support vehicles. After that it was time for the weather briefing. This is where the lead forecasters gather everyone together and give a brief overview of what the day may hold. Today's briefing had smiles on the faces of many who are looking for the ever so evasive tornado. Chalk up another smile on my face too!
We are obviously going to be in the northeast Colorado, southwest Nebraska area hoping for something good here. I will keep you updated as much as I can, but it may be busy all afternoon and evening. Check out my tweets to get the latest on what is happening along with pictures.
