Tornado Confirmed Near Charity, Missouri

The National Weather Serviced determined an EF-2 tornado struck near the Dallas-Webster county line. The tornado touched down two miles west of Charity and continued on and off for four miles. The damage path was about 400 yards wide. The storm damaged three frame houses and numerous outbuildings. One person was injured and one man died after suffering a heart attack following the storm. The NWS estimates winds reached top speeds of 130 miles per hour.
