Weak Tornado Confirmed Near Ebenezer

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in northern Greene County.

The twister struck near the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway WW and continued to the east-northeast on and off before lifting near Highway H and Farm Road 56.

The tornado cut a path about 100 yards wide and 2.3 miles long and damaged several outbuildings and a fire station.

The NWS estimates wind speeds reached 80 miles per hour.
