Wintry mix is likely on Saturday

Some Accumulations Possible

Today, we will have no problems! Temps will be WAY above average with highs in the low to mid 60s (with a breeze). However, everything changes this weekend. A potent cold front from the California coast will mix with a juicy Low from the South. We'll see rain on Saturday, for much of the day, but as that cold front moves its way to the south and east, cold air plunges in behind it. Combine that with the rain coming up from the south, and we have a possible wintry mix.

List your upcoming event on the KSPR Community Calendar, click here.

The timing is as such:

  • Sat Aft'n: Rain
  • 6pm: some changeover/ rain-sleet mix
  • 10pm: converting to light snow flurries
  • Early Sunday: Frigid

The main impacts will be on the roadways as/if ice accumulation. I'm expecting minor accumulations. See below. Areas to the North and West could see up to 1.5" of snow as well.
