Thursday 4:00pm - Isolated Storms.. Hot & Humid

By Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lighty

Hello KSPR weather bloggers and welcome back to the blog. So more of the same in the forecast with isolated storms and hot and humid conditions to persist!

As far as tonight goes most areas will stay dry with only a slight chance of an isolated storm popping up through the evening hours.

Cardinals are in action tonight for the last time at home this month with a 7:10pm start. Things look to be calm for the game.

Things will begin to warm back up into the weekend as a warm front lifts back through the region.

Later in the weekend a front may drop through and bring back chances of rain to the area.

High temps will be back into the upper 80's and 90's over the next few days and over the course of this weekend we may find heat indicies over 100.

Area of PM storms will be possible over the next few days and also some MCS's may come through overnight esp. tonight and Sat. night if things hold together.

Here is today's weather e-pic

Just wanted to say I do still read the post almost everyday but as we all know, we're just starting to taste some of the hot & humid part of summer. Hey Val...was not wanting to spend more money on water for the lawn the other day and did a rain dance...and it worked...yeehaw! :-)

Not asking any questions because answers not forthcoming like they were when blog first started. Just wanted to say that it looks on the map that a nasty looking cell is coming into NE end of the state, along with others behind it. Might be in for some fireworks like those we had the other night. Those woke us up and kept us up all night. Take care everyone. Friend, Val
