Happy Thursday Morning! 

After a very bumpy start, our Weds. didn't end up half bad.   Joplin reached the mid-90's while Osage Beach stayed in the low-80's.

For today, much of the same we've seen the past 2 days. Warm, few clouds, with a chance of rain. Here is our current set-up.  Quite the system in Northern MO./Southern IA.  However, it's been this way much of the morning.  The system is progressing to the southeast... so the heaviest precip. will be expected to the east of Springfield.  Dewpoints are lower out to the east so some of this system will fall apart.

Look ahead to the weekend, the chance of rain stays with us and things will start to heat up... well, back into the low-90's. 
Saturday I'm not overly impressed with our chance of rain, it'll more than likely be one of those pop-up storms from the heating of the day.

Sunday looks like we will see dryer conditions as the rain stays to the north of our area.  Since it's late-July, we will add the chance of precip in for good measure.
