Thanks for stopping by the weather blog today! I hope you aren't staying inside for too long... the weather is too nice to not be enjoying it!
The good news is that Monday, your Labor Day holiday, is going to be another great day. It will be BREEZY... but still very nice.

A strong low pressure system coming off of the Rockies will move to the northeast tomorrow. This will tighten our pressure gradient and we will see those winds really start to pick up. The winds will be in from the south. Notice the lines I drew, the closer those lines are packed, the stronger the winds. Our western counties will experience the strongest winds.

By Tuesday the chance of rain will enter our forecast. I expect the rain to start later on Tuesday afternoon and then the chance will stick around for much of the week. After last week, we don't need the rain. Models don't agree but the QPF is putting a lot of rain into our area. Here is the estimated 5-day total:

If we saw another 4 inches this week, flooding could be another strong possibility.
Have a wonderful Labor Day!
