The New York Post reported Friday that Larry Bird, the president of the Indiana Pacers, will not return next season.
The Post reported a source stated Bird has “definitely decided not to return.”
Bird was hired six seasons ago and was reportedly paid $5 million per season for the first five.
The paper reported the Pacers are aware of Bird’s decision and have a small list of possible replacements.
Fox59 reached out to the Pacers for a comment. They said Bird issued a statement, saying “No decision has been made. End of story.”
