    Today, we are still tracking some storms to the North of highway 44. These are <em>below</em> severe limits...for now. Later today, that cold front will continue to work its way into the Ozarks leading into the early afternoon. This will spark sct'd showers and thunderstorms after lunchtime and possibly during the evening commute.

  3. Severe weather expected Sunday evening

    Tonight is looking like a summer night.&nbsp; Lows will only be in the mid to upper 60's.&nbsp; A lot of clouds will stream in from the west.&nbsp; A complex of storms in Oklahoma may hold together and give us an isolated storm.&nbsp; No severe weather is expected.&nbsp; Sunday will be another hot and humid day.&nbsp; Highs will top out in the upper 80's with the heat index in the lower 90's.

    Extremely warm day here in the Ozarks with records falling in West Plains. They hit 90, old record was 87 from 1987. Springfield came within 1 degree at 87 with the record being 88. A cooler day is expected tomorrow as rain and clouds will be around.

    Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms!&nbsp; It was a cold start to the day but, all in all, not too bad.&nbsp; We set a few record lows.&nbsp; In Springfield we set a new record of 36&deg;.&nbsp; The previous record was 37&deg; (2008).&nbsp; Rolla also set a record of 35&deg;.&nbsp; The previous record was 36&deg; (2008).&nbsp; Fort Leonard Wood actually hit 32&deg;.&nbsp; This will be the last "taste" of winter until fall.
