  11. Wednesday's Child: Raven 1/9/13

Until you get to know her, Raven is soft spoken and reserved, but with time you will get to know an easygoing girl with a sensitive personality. She also has an assertive side, which she demonstrated when she played competitive volleyball. Next up, she hopes to participate in track. In her free time Raven enjoys watching television, listening to music, reading books, jumping on the trampoline and doing fun activities as a family. This seventh grader is known to be a nice person and a respectful student. Currently benefitting from counseling, Raven will need to continue after placement. A family who spends a lot of time together and who has siblings near her age would make Raven happiest, in her opinion. Her caseworker agrees that a family with similarly aged kids would be a good fit, with the parents being patient, structured and able to encourage healthy communication and self esteem. A two-parent, including a female same sex-couple, or single-female home is preferred; however, all family types will be considered. Keeping in touch with her current caregiver and her sibling is important to Raven. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services. If you are interested in learning more about Raven, please contact The Adoption Exchange at 800-554-2222.
