LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Los Angeles police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 71-year-old bicyclist in Canoga Park.
Eduardo Perez, of Canoga Park, was riding his bicycle on the south crosswalk of Sherman Way around 12:15 p.m. May 14 when he was struck by a vehicle, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.
The vehicle was making a right turn onto Canoga Avenue at the time of the collision.
Witnesses say the driver fled the scene.
Perez was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries two days later, police said.
The suspect was believed to have been driving a small, black 4-door SUV.
