ROLLA, MO - 2006 Rolla High School graduate Chantae McMillan has qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London by finishing 3rd in the heptathlon at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.
A 4-time Big 12 champion at Nebraksa University, McMillan scored 6,188 points, finishing behind fellow American medalist hopefuls Hyleas Fountain (6,419) and Sharon Day (6,343).
The 30th Olympiad is from July 27th to August 12.
McMillan was a 2-time long jump state champ at Rolla under Coach Don Knapp.
