  1. The heat is on: Protect pets and children from the dangers of excessive heat

It is not summer yet, but just wait! Remember, there are precautions to take as the weather gets hotter. I was alerted to this in the latest issue of “Pepper ‘N Salt Newsletter” published by the Standard Schnauzer Club of America. 3. Ticked off! @ no tax refund

I'm ticked off at the pretentious bimbo yoga studios around here with their hot or warm yoga fetish. Dehydration and heat stroke might be perfect for anorexics but that has nothing to do with the graceful and ancient health practices of plain old yoga....

  5. Meet Florida's Newest Snowbird Convert

    The Hartford Courant
A few columns ago I wrote about an upcoming five-day trip to Florida, my first mid-winter escape to a warm climate ever. I had a lot of concerns. Would I stick out with my vampire pallor, my chapped face, my post nasal dripathon? Would I need to buy...

  13. Saban: College legend, messy Dolphin legacy

Do you like Nick Saban? Can you? That's the question for the equipment manager, and he tells of arriving for work early one morning at the same time as the coach. It was still dark outside. Quiet.
