  7. Dorial Green-Beckham named U.S. Army All-American Player of the Year

    <strong>SAN ANTONIO, TX &mdash; </strong>The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee has announced <strong>Dorial Green-Beckham</strong> as the 2012 U.S. Army Player of the Year, given to the nation&rsquo;s most  outstanding senior in high school football. The announcement was made  tonight at the U.S. Army Awards Dinner at the San Antonio&rsquo;s Henry B.  Gonzalez Convention Center. Green-Beckham, a wide receiver at Hillcrest  High School in Springfield, Mo., was presented with the Ken Hall Trophy,  which is modeled after Ken &ldquo;Sugar Land Express&rdquo; Hall, high school  football&rsquo;s all-time leading rusher.

    Joanna Small comes to Springfield by way of the Great Northern Plains.&nbsp; After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Broadcast News, she began her career in journalism as a one-woman band at KUMV-TV, an NBC bureau station in the small town of Williston, North Dakota. In January of 2006, she was promoted to KFYR-TV, the mother station in Bismarck, where she co-anchored and co-produced the morning show.&nbsp; After a year and a half with little sleep and lots of coffee, she was moved to anchor and producer of the Noon Report, as well as nightly health reporter.&nbsp; Joanna says working with doctors was a humbling experience; she learned something new every day.
