  7. Feds join fight against synthetic drugs with indictments of 3 in Springfield

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A federal grand jury indicted three members of a family from Springfield for their roles in what investigators call a conspiracy to distribute synthetic drugs, commonly referred to as K2, including a product called Kryp2nite.&nbsp; Investigators believe the Franklin family has hauled in around $6.7 million from the sales of those products in the past three years.&nbsp;

  11. Deputy Shoots Two Men Accused of Trying to Run Over Two Officers During High Speed Chase Near Rolla

    Three law enforcement agencies are investigating an officer involved shooting following a high speed chase near Rolla. The shooting sent two men to the hospital with gunshot wounds. According to a member of the Phelps County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the car was air lifted to a hospital in Columbia. The passenger went to a hospital in Rolla. He is expected to recover and be released to the custody of the Phelps County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department.
