  3. Second Man Charged In Killing of 17-Year-Old Kenny Stout

    Two men are facing charges for the death of 17-year-old Kenny Stout. Christopher A. Jorgensen and Nathan W. Jensen are charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse. The Douglas County Sheriff questioned three persons of interest on Thursday. Family and friends reported Stout missing on December 13 after he did not answer phone calls and texts. After a lengthy interview with Jensen, investigators found Stout's body in a wooded area near the Ava Country Club around 4:30 Thursday morning.

    After a deadly weekend fire, Greene County deputies are investigating five deaths. The Greene County Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy on the body of a woman who was pulled from her burning home over the weekend. Kelly Lawler-Ackfeld died Saturday in the 2300 block of west Nottingham Street. Two double homicides also remain unsolved.

  7. Springfield police investigating a homicide after a shooting at a Springfield hotel

    Springfield police are investigating a homicide at 2611 N. Glenstone.  Around 11:04 last Friday night, police say someone shot a woman inside a hotel.  On Sunday, police say the woman died from her injuries at a hospital. They are not releasing any information about the woman, possible suspect or suspects or further details about the case.  KSPR News will release more information as it becomes available.
