    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Springfield voters are one week away from deciding the future of smoking inside businesses and buildings inside the city limits. Voters will decide if they want to repeal the current smoking ban or maintain the ban with added amendments. A &ldquo;yes&rdquo; vote means the voter wants to repeal the smoking ban and go back to previous smoking regulations. A &ldquo;no&rdquo; vote means the voter wants the smoking ban to stay in place with the recent amendments.

  19. Possible amendments to Springfield's smoking ban could allow smoking inside certain businesses and clubs

    Springfield's smoking ban could change Monday night if city council members approve amendments to the Smokefree Air Act that passed last year. Possible amendments include exemptions for electronic cigarettes, smoking during theatrical performances, bingo halls and tobacco shops that existed before the ban took place. The owners of Just For Him are "cautiously optimistic" city council members will allow smoking once again inside tobacco shops.
