Missouri State sophomore righthander Tim Clubb has been named the Prairie Farms/Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.

Clubb, a Eureka, Mo., native retired the last eight hitters of the game, handing Middle Tennessee its first shutout of the season. He fanned three and walked two in the game, becoming the first MSU pitcher to start 9-0 since 2001.
