FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- One of the country's top running backs "calls the Hogs." Alex Collins committed to Arkansas over Miami, Florida State and Wisconsin on Monday night during a nationally televised college football recruiting show. Analysts list Collins as a five-star recruit.
The 5-foot-11, 207-pound tailback rushed for more than 1,263 yards combined in his senior season at South Plantation High School in Fort Lauderdale. Arkansas jumped on Collins following the hiring of new head coach Bret Bielema. His staff recruited Collins while at Wisconsin.
National Signing Day is Wednesday.
