The St. Louis Cardinals signed right-handed pitcher Kyle McClellan money to a one year contract, thus avoiding salary arbitration. McClellan’s signing leaves Jason Motte as the only arbitration eligible player remaining unsigned.McClelland was both a starter and reliever in 2011, starting 17 games, recording a 6-6 record with a 4.21 ERA and was 6-1 in 26 relief appearances. A St. Louis native, he was a first round draft pick in 2002 and has been with the Cardinals for four years.
