In his 1st year as head coach, Pete Hanson has the task of turning around a team that won 3 games in 2011.  Hanson plans to depend on senior running back Secoy Hodges.

"Secoy's a great kid, he's one of the hardest workers you're going to find in the area," said Hanson. "He's one of the most talented players in the area, he's always exciting to watch."

Even though the Bulldogs are coming off a losing season, Hanson believes his team will show improvement.

"My expectations for the season are high," said Hanson.  "I really believe in the group we've got.  I think we've pushed them very hard and that's the only way these kids know how to work."

The Bulldogs return a big senior class.

"We've got a lot of experience in our senior class, most of them are 3 and 4 year starters," said Hanson.  "They've been contributors for us big time, we're really counting on them to be leaders for us."

Central opens the season August 24th at Republic.
